Bowling ball shammys

Post by Lindad65 »

What is the best bowling ball shammy to use to clean a bowling ball? Is microfiber better or leather? I would like to get a shammy but don't know which is the best one to get. Is a small pad good for cleaning your ball? Which shammy would you recommend? Any information would be helpful.

This may be helpful. It is the hits on a search for shammy on Bowlingchat.

Take care.
May all beings everywhere be happy and free,
and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life
contribute in some way to that happiness
and to that freedom for all.

Leather works way better than a microfiber towel for wiping your ball off between shots.

I use microfiber towels in conjunction with a ball cleaner between sets.

Imo, a leather shammy does a much better job wiping the oil off the ball. I switched from microfiber to leather a few years ago and couldn't be happier. I use a Genesis Pure Pad which is made of buffalo leather and is cleanable.
