I just got back into bowling after a long layoff. I had a new ball drilled up that felt perfect at first but now that I'm becoming able to hold my wrist in a stronger position at release I feel like I'm wanting to drop the ball a bit early.
I'm considering going in to talk to my PSO about the wiki fit. My mf span is between 3 9/16 and 3 5/8. My thumb flexibility is right at 90 degrees. My current thumb pitch 1/16 reverse. We tried 1/16 forward but I seemed to hang up in that, though I may have just been grabbin.
I'm attaching a picture of my coke can test.
What do you guys think?
Is it even ok to go in a request a certain pitch? I'm not sure of the etiquette here.

Re: Wiki fit
Without looking at your hand it is very difficult to recommend a fit. There are various schools of thought so if you go to three different shops you will get three different opinions.
Are those cut spans? If they are full spans you definitely have a small hand and 1/16 reverse may be too much reverse for you. Even if they are cut spans I think 1/16 reverse is too much… You may be squeezing and/or span may be too short, again impossible to know without seeing your hand or watching you bowl.
Seeing how you release is also important, fit is not only static and how you release will affect what you need.
My advise is to find a good coach who is also a trained pro shop operator. Where are you located? i may be able to recommend someone.

Re: Wiki fit
Hi, sorry I hadn't checked in in a while and just saw your reply. Thanks for responding.
I actually got in to see my PSO a few days after posting. After explaining what I was feeling and looking at my grip we changed my thumb from 1/4 left, 1/16 reverse to 1/8 forward,1/8 right. The ball is much more comfortable now and I don't feel like I'm dropping the ball any more. I'm considering trying an additional 1/8 forward on a old ball I don't use to see how it feels.
I would like to do lessons but unfortunately I don't have the money to spend on them right now.
I use a very basic hold the ball at 45 degrees with a straight or cupped wrist release. I think I'm hitting up on the ball right now. My game needs a lot of work lol. I am averaging 179 after the first 2 weeks of the fun league I am currently bowling.
