Effects of layout on core

A pin up layout decreases RG and increases diff and a pin down layout increases RG and decreases diff. Does anyone know what effect on the core that a pin in finger would have? Thanks.

Pin in the Ring or Middle finger drills directly into the Top of the core.
Differential will be decreased.
Rg will be dependent on the bowlers PAP.

The layout and where holes hit the core is more than describing Pin up and Pin down.

Let's talk about the Rg. The Rg of the PAP is what matters.
The manufacturers give us the Low Rg number.
We can extrapolate the High Rg by adding the Total Differential to it.

A ball can not be drilled to have an Rg lower than the given Low Rg or Higher than the calculated High Rg.
Pin on the PAP will achieve the lowest Rg a ball can be drilled.
The Highest Rg will be pin at 6 3/4" from the PAP.
