supposedly house shot
bowling in my local bowling center, we bowl 4 games. the lanes start out really good but then the shot falls apart real fast. made sevearal moves just to find a line to the pocket to no avail . to make a long story short, i ended up using my plastic spare ball just to make it to the pocket. we are 190-210 average bowlers... would do you think is happening with the oil pattern or is it the way they are oiling the lanes? at this house most bowlers are 10-15 pins under average also.....what are your thoughts? TIA.

My two thoughts are:
Lower Volume of conditioner. A good house shot is being laid out but the amount/volume of conditioner is low enough that balls are quickly soaking up and moving the conditioner causing a break down of the shot.
Type of conditioner: I'm not a student of the types but some conditioners are heavier with more solids and don't break down as fast. Others are lighter and create more transition.
