Reacta Gloss

Post by Viper »

Hello,

What exactly is Reacta Gloss? Reading the label it strikes me as a sticky polish of sorts. Is this correct? Is there a grit rating associated with it?
Does anyone use this product?

Thanks,

Glen, you are the ultimate bowling librarian!

In our shop, we use 5 different types of compound / polish finishing agents. Each one has its own merit. And yes, Reacta Gloss is one of them (Turtle Wax is not). I would be very hesitant to say any one product is better than the other because they create an entirely different response on the lane. Not everyone needs skid flip.

The original question, is Reacta Gloss sticky? Answer is the same as the video. From our perspective, this particular polishing agent does enable the ball to change direction, ie. stronger motion down the lane than the other products we use.

That wasn't an advertisement for Reacta Gloss. Simply, it's a nice addition to the products we already use.

T-Hawk, you crack me up!

I keep most the Storm compounds/polishes on the shelf (Step #1 - #3, ReactaSkuff, and ReactaShine).
When I ran out of ReactaShine the last time, I bought Brunswick Royal Shine.
IMHO, Royal Shine is a lot like ReactaGloss: a little dab will do ya (will last forever), gives a tacky feeling, same 5000-grit result, and cheaper.

Glenn, thanks for the video links. Useful.
Tomahawk, damn! Royal polish! I use that now and love it. Looks like I wasted money getting the reacta gloss if Royal polish does same thing. Live and learn.
Thank you guys the all the info!
