Dexter bowling shoes

I recently received a pair of Dexter bowling shoes for Christmas and have a question. I've only worn them 2 or 3 times, and only on the alley, but the bottom of the soles look like they have "fuzz" on them. Is this a normal condition, until they've been worn and smoothed out or is there something I can do for this? The last pair of shoes had a flat smooth bottom. Could I maybe try a brush on them or just leave them as is? They slide perfectly fine but I never had shoes with the "fuzz" on the bottom. Just wondering if this is normal for these kind of shoes. The soles of theses shoes have a groove in them and are not flat on the bottom.

What number pad? The 8's and get a little funky looking, especially if you use a wire brush on them. At the end of the day the "fuzz" look will prob not affect anything.

Which Dexter shoes? I use Dexter SST6 BOA shoes myself, and I use a 3G buckskin sole cut to fit the shoe instead of the stock Dexter microfiber 8 sole.

Yea, they do, which is why I use 3G buckskin soles on my Dexters. I find it gives me and my old knees a smoother slide but not as much as a 10 sole and not as tacky as the standard 8 Microfiber soles.
