Eric,
In looking over your inventory, I noticed that a lot of your equipment falls in the RG 260 DIFF 0.041 iDIFF 0.014 category in either solid or pearl.
Looks like a dull and shiny urethane pair, too.
If I remember correctly, you moved to 13# bowling balls.
OOB solids are 500/1500 and OOB pearls are 500/1000/compound.
So, are you getting your separation with surface changes and layouts?

Asking for a friend.

Glenn
Making me wish I would actually keep a list of my arsenal to refer to .
Yes, most of my balls have the same core but with different coverstocks.
The core choices are limited with lighter weight equipment.
The Brunswick family just happens to offer the most coverstock choices and colors with their best 12/13# Asymmetrical core.

Yes, I definitely have separation .
After only one season I am still learning how each one performs and what surface to keep them.

None of my balls have have duplicated layouts.
None of my pieces are factory surface. I have a ball spinner and regularly refresh the surfaces.

I do have a couple of balls that I keep with the same surface, layout and coverstock strength separate them nicely.
Hammer obsession 50-3.5-40 and Brunswick Evo Pearl 80-2.5-40 both with 800/2000 surface is my favorite one two punch right now.

I refresh Dull surfaces every 3 games. Shiny surfaces last quite a bit longer, maybe 2 times in a season or when they start hooking too early.

Eric

As an older bowler currently throwing 13 lbs, I watch closely anything you post about lighter weight cores. I am now considering dropping from 13 to 12. I like the Brunswick family stronger Assym core in lighter weights you have mentioned. Do you think if one were dropping to 12 from 13, keeping that same core, I should look for a stronger coverstock in the lighter ball get the same reaction? Thanks

A lighter ball produces less friction.
I have found that I need a little more surface for best carry results.
Also the balls that you are considering will have Strong covers.
