Axis Tilt

Post by powerlefty765 »

What is consider high axis tilt? In the 01DualAngleSweetSpot.pdf article cited below. It talks about lowering tilt if you have higher tilt. My tilt is 20* with and axis rotation of 55 degrees. If I roll the ball, I would consider myself slightly speed dominate 18.2 on the monitor. If I stay behind the ball, I am more matched on the monitor it says 16.8.

I am trying to fine tune layouts. If I slightly speed dominate 90* with a higher tilt, do I lower that to 80* then and separate the dual angle ratio guide out from there?

My rev rate is 455.

With my tilt and rotation and I lower 80 and then divide the dual angle ratio by 1:1.25 since I have higher rotation.
80 / 1.25 = 64* rounded to 65 to be my VAL angle.
80 - 65 = 15* for my dual angle
So I would have my dual angle ratio guide would come out to be 15 x ?? x 60 am I correct in figuring this?

Best right handed quote, "having three lefties on the same team, and listening to them converse about making adjustments, (ball speed, entry angle, etc) its weird, I did not know that lefties had to adjust."

80 / 1.25 = 64* rounded to 65 to be my VAL angle. 80/2.25=35* and this is your Drilling angle.
80 - 65 = 15* for my dual angle 80-35= 45 Dual angle Layout 35-4.5-45
So I would have my dual angle ratio guide would come out to be 15 x ?? x 60 am I correct in figuring this?

Comments in color above

Do you feel you are Speed Dominant?

I'm starting to make adjustments at 20* Tilt
Reducing totals and/or Pin to PAP adjustments

20* of Tilt puts you directly in the middle of the Dual Angle Ratio guide. 1:1 Ratio
Giving you the most available layouts to choose from.

http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index. ... atio_Guide

Now adjustments from there.
Your Speed to Rev relationship 18.2 Monitor and 455 Revs is Matched no adjustment.
Rotation 55* is medium again no adjustment.
Left handed -5* from the total and -.5 on the Ratio

I have your Sweetspot at 90* Totals and 1:1.5 Ratio
Benchmark................. 35-4.5-55

Asymmetrical Layouts
Totally Strong ....................... 35-5-35
Midlane .............................. 25-4.5-40
Benchmark .......................... 35-4.5-55
Long and Strong .................... 55-4-55
Control .............................. 35-4-75
low flare ............................ 55-2.5-55

Where or what about urethane. Is a particular layout I should be using for urethane. I was leaning towards a big core asymmetrical urethane ball.

I would have to consider what ball in particular.
But I would be leaning towards a Long and Strong layout
