Hey guys. Been seeing it lately, and have experienced it personally, that if pictures are uploaded, a lot of guys are unable because of 1 mb size restriction.
I found this site http://www.reduceimages.com/ very helpful. It's easy as 1, 2, 3.
Upload a file, put in the desired file size. Click OK. when done, Download the file to upload in less than 1 mb size. That's it.
So I thought I'd share for common knowledge. Can a moderator please make it a sticky so everyone can benefit?
Thanks.

Re: Here is how to reduce image size for upload
HI,
You could open your image file using msprint (for windows OS only) located in accessories named as PAINT. Then save the file as jpeg. The program also have a convenient RESIZE tool that you could use so that you can upload to site with size restriction.
But your method works too.

You are right my dear. But first the picture which iobviously is taken either with a camera or a cell phone camera has to be transferred to PC. Which has to be running Windows OS.
All you need is Internet connection, any cell phone or any OS, like Linux, OS 10 by Apple or Windows. No restrictions. These days, we just take pics from cell phone cameras anyways.
Go to website, click upload, give size, click download. But yes. Your method will work too if someone has Windows, and is able to transfer image.
Thanks for sharing

Ah, you are right. Nowadays people load their stuff from tablet/phones as frequent as using pc.

Re: Here is how to reduce image size for upload
Most tablets & Phones have the ability to set file size and apps on them to edit/resize images, so transferring image to computer for editing isn't a concern.
The resizing site is a good resource if someone is not familiar with using these built in capabilities.
Another option is to use a free image hosting site like postimage.org or photobucket.com and link back to the image in your post. (the sites generate the links, so you can just copy paste them into your post.)
This also allows you to use the same image usually without resizing and to post it to multiple sites without having to upload it to each site. They also have editing and resizing options if resizing is needed.
