Suggestion re: avatars
I would suggest you do something so that it's not practically impossible for people to upload an avatar. I joined the site a couple of days ago and had an issue right away but didn't have time to get into it. I have come back three times trying to solve the issue and have even tried a third party website that someone suggested on this site to automatically resize a picture but that didn't work either. Although I am no computer wiz, I am a pretty intelligent adult and I have resized pictures for the purposes of 'fitting' them onto websites before but this has to be something else. It's annoying and I hope you're able to simplify the process soon.

Nobody else seems to have a problem.
Resize to a JPG image. They have higher compression.

Re: Suggestion re: avatars
Several years ago, I used a Microsoft desktop tool to copy the image I selected from a website, i then used Microsoft paint to resize and change the file format to load the image I use as my avatar. This was all done with standard no frills Microsoft Desktop tools. In my case it was multistep process.
This just documents the procedure on Bowling chat.

May all beings everywhere be happy and free,
and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life
contribute in some way to that happiness
and to that freedom for all.
