Re: Thumb Tape won't stay on thumb
My daughter uses the storm red tape, her skin is moist and sticky. She uses gamers grip antiperspirant cream, often uses super glue to retouch the edges of the tape when it starts to come off, old school kitty litter puff ball and hand conditioner. Super glue may sound extreme but it works… hey, wha...

Re: Thumb Fit
I would vote for the interchangeables. Actually 4 pieces of tape is not a lot, 7 and 8 are very common.

Re: Roto Grip Gem to Strong
Great bowling, if it worked I would not change a thing. Like said earlier, if you want the effects of a P1 drill them fingers deep, if you don’t like it you can always plug them back to the original depth.

Re: Brunswick umbrella ball equivalent to 900 Global Reality
Hello Eric, it’s for a youth bowler who is probably going to be playing next year in a college in which the team is sponsored by Brunswick. The Reality (the one you posted) is the ball most used by this speed dominant player. It’s a very versatile cover that takes surface adjustments really well. Mo...

Brunswick umbrella ball equivalent to 900 Global Reality
Hello, would appreciate your help. What Brunswick umbrella (any of the B brands) ball would be the most similar to the OG 900 Global Reality?

Re: Phaze2
Is the speed measured off the hand or on the speed monitor? This is important, if off the hand you’re very rev dominant if it’s monitor you’re slightly rev dominant, this will affect your layout decision. You are correct, 25* is high tilt so in a symm you will very likely be using plenty of surface....

Re: Help with selecting my next ball....Switched to 2-Handed
Invest in proper coaching as practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes permanent and if you’re practicing improper technique for so many hours it will be very difficult to fix as your body will go on auto every time you stand on the approach. Some people would rather spend $200-$600 on balls (so...

Thank you TomaHawk, makes perfect sense, MCP joint can definitely be in, will chamfer the back of the hole.

Re: Arsenal Trains of Thought?
What Eric says.
Also, in addition to your release specs (speed/rev rate, tilt, rotation and PAP), we need to know what surface you’re bowling on (AMF, Brunswick, Wood?) and what patterns (house shot or sport conditions).

Fitting “thumb out”
Hello and Merry Christmas to all. I have a question regarding fitting: What are the causes and what can be done to fix/eliminate a slight space between the thumb web and the ball? Is it necessary that there is absolutely no space in that area? I am talking about a bit of separation between the web a...

Re: Balls and sport layouts for lefty
She’s like me, doesn’t care about color, more about making pins jump all over the place and putting some Xs on the scoreboard. The Trailblazer looks cool to me though, I like green and also black so if it was me definitely Max Results and Trailblazer. What Radical balls for her for those layouts my ...

Re: Ideas for a first urethane.
Ahhh the urethane topic jejeje. Carry down can equal to creating hold left on sport patterns if the gutter is playing granted the player is aware of the fact that the adjustment is right of where they were previously playing. Not many people as skilled or confident enough to dance with the devil so ...

Re: Balls and sport layouts for lefty
Thank you Eric. So if she didn’t have any balls, and I have a lot of undrilled balls I could drill her but really looking forward to your answer, please suggest five Radical balls for Jr Gold for her lefty specs. Thinking 4 Asymms and a Symm. On the Radical Bowling Fans Facebook page, Al Leiendecker...

Thank you Eric, so the 50 x 5 x 30 on her Results OG would be like a longer Totally Strong? She really loves that ball. Brings it out and comes right back with a vengeance.

Re: Balls and sport layouts for lefty
Sorry for the late reply, went through a couple of grip changes and drilled her a few balls for today’s Jr Gold Qualifier, needless to say she won the tournament so spot secured. Was quite an achievement as she only has been bowling one handed for one and a half months after for years of two handed ...

“Effective Thumb Pitch”
Hello guys, was reading a bit about thumb pitches. I haven’t taken any fitting course yet, just know what I have lerned here throughout the years and talking with high level coaches and ball drillers. Was reading this article and the term “effective pitch” came up when referencing thumb pitch: https...

Re: HELP! What ball for burnt up house shot?
Lower speed player, wood lanes, burnt up shot? Radical Counter Attack Pearl (the red one) and a plastic for spares.
If you are higher track low tilt, you can even try a short pin layout on it.
Plastic and urethanes on a house shot for strikes, naaaa.

Re: Balls and sport layouts for lefty
She just changed to thumb in one hander, about three weeks ago, never could get her speed to match up the two handed rpms. She is now the opposite, good speed with lower revs but her body seems to like the one handed style better plus she’s a lefty girl and her new game matches up really well with t...

Balls and sport layouts for lefty
Hello guys, hope you’re all doing well. Question for Eric Hartwell and MegaMav. Need advive on balls and layouts for a lefty 16 yr old sport and Jr Gold bowler. Stats are: -14 lbs -17-18.5 OTH -220ish rpms (speed dominates revs) -Tilt is around 18* eyeballing (need to measure) -Track is medium -up t...
