Re: Lower speed rev dominant
How’s it too light? They’re rolling it 12mph down lane, not seeing how it’s not viable if they’re thinking about quitting

Re: help with thumb issue
That’s always a possibility, try a thumb straight or tiered taping in the pad side of your thumb so you can’t knuckle it

Re: thumb size and wrist support
Yes, have the support on when they measure you. You want h the hole big enough for at least 2-3 piece of tape to accommodate swelling

Re: Short pin layout - dry flares hitting thumb
Just use surface, I mean if you have 450+ revs and 21mph speed then I guess you can compare to RC

Re: Sum of Angles
It’s about hitting power at the pins, getting the ball into a roll is needed for improved carry. Being speed dominate with high rotation is going to naturally give you more length, so even 3k pad on a spinner is going to keep the pocket in front of you because the end grit is probably higher than wh...

Re: Sum of Angles
I agree with Eric, need more surface with your speed. If you’re trying to cover boards at 16.5mph your footwork has to slow down to give the ball time to hook and/or more surface is needed to slow the ball down

Re: Drilling a ball related question.
As long as you always fill it with a digit it’s legal, keeping it from rolling over the holes will be an issue. I’d probably check out a half thumb hole (thumb is stretched where only the top half of thumb goes in) gives you more control and added benefits of having a weight hole essentially

Re: Ebonite Allure Pin Down
Depends on his PAP but that’s a large VAL so it should be slow reaction to friction. Usually pin downs aren’t recommended for symmetrical unless he’s high rev

Re: PAP Question
If you know about dual angle layouts (check the wiki in the drop down) then it’s used to give you the angles. If you’ve never had a ball drilled before, just put a generic layout on it like the pin above the bridge so you can get your pap, tilt and rotation so you have them for balls going forward

Re: playing inside line
When you say rotation, are you meaning revs or side roll? If you have lower side roll (rotation) like me, the ball doesn’t flip on the backend as it’s more of a controlled move. So when I move into more oil I need the surface to grab earlier if I’m giving away the pocket. Hence why I asked what your...
