impact on core dynamics when using IT thumb inserts

Post by Cas » April 14th, 2013, 9:28 pm

Hi all, I have a question concerning the use of IT and other thumb inserts - as these are so large and deep, won't they have a considerable impact on the core differentials after drilling... even the mass that is put back in by the insert will result in different drilled ball dynamics - how significant is this please?

I am now considering having ITs put into all my balls but would like more information as to how these could affect the final ball motion...

Many thanks fir any and all feedback!

Cas.

NO EFFECT!!!!!!!

MoRich, Storm, and the USBC did a combined study on both interchangeable thumb assemblies, and that was the result.

Thanks Mo,

Are you by any chance doing any work on cores where the position of drilling the thumb will have an impact on reaction?

All the time. It's essential to ball reaction. Just look!
