Post by MegaMav »

Citizens of BowlingChat,

Bowling surface is Brunswick's Anvilane.

We will be putting out PBA patterns to bowl on as well as a house shot across the house for the on lane portion of the seminar.

It really is a nice center, I will vouch for that for sure. Synthetic approaches if I'm not mistaken, I always swap to a lower-friction slide sole.

Weekend choice.... Awesome!!! NASCAR Race weekend in Loudon is the 13th and 14th, and I'm off from work that whole week. I am in! Might need to bring my 2 kids on Sunday, but they both bowl. Sadly, they're too young to get any of the technical stuff, ages 12 and 7. Sunday (the 21st) is my birthday and Tony Sterwart is going to be at Lebanon Valley Speedway for the World of Outlaws that night. And if my daughter misses the possibility of meeting her favorite driver I'm sure I won't be seeing another birthday. If you know what I mean... I'm still in!

I'm thinking about taking the 4 hour drive for this one. Anyone else from NJ/PA thinking about going?

I think I'm going to gas the car up and take the 4 hour drive for this. Both days seems like the best value. Will you have any info on hotels and rates for those of us that don't know the area?

Was checking rates and it looks like the hotels in Sarasota Springs are extremely expensive. Is Albany a better option, or could you suggest a closer one?

Saratoga Springs is a pretty rich part of the region, the following areas are within 10-15 minutes of the bowling center:

Malta
Clifton Park
Latham

This deal is on groupon: http://www.groupon.com/deals/ga-bk-best ... tal-region
$77/night in a Best Western in Clifton Park, Queen bed.
Malta, Clifton Park, Latham are all nice parts, so no worries about being in a bad neighborhood in Albany.

Only 8 days left to that deal, I recommend you pounce on it, its 15 minutes to the center from there.

Must be something special going on in saratoga around that time. I clicked on the deal and the rates go from $84 before 7/19, then go up to $150-160 per night through the end of the month.

July 20th has the room listed for $160 for the night. Might have to pass on this.
