If one wants a great introduction to "the modern game" as understood by Mo Pinel than the player should NOT be without this work. Buy It, Read It, Try It!

Only bad thing is I wish I would have bought it sooner! Stick men are a great way to keep it simple and make it easy to "see it."

One of my old coaches Rolf Gauger was big on Stick Figures.Dustin? wrote:Only bad thing is I wish I would have bought it sooner! Stick men are a great way to keep it simple and make it easy to "see it."
Unfortunately for me Rolf was not a magician.

It is quite helpful, but could have been a bit less expensive. Just my opinion but, after all, capitalism is the American way.

As Guru suggested, I bought it, I read it, I tried it and, most importantly, I HAVE IMPROVED!!! Maybe some information is priceless ... maybe.

Same here Dustin... I didn't knew that book until I joined this site. Now I got my piece of the book I should say there are lot of information in there that can't be found in other books combined.Dustin? wrote:Only bad thing is I wish I would have bought it sooner! Too thick though ( I am assuming its a manual so you can write on it during a class with Mo).

Would definitely buy it if it were available in ebook format!

I have no affiliation with the resource mentioned below.
I'm passing this along because it's has the best list of bowling instructional material.
Not everything, but a lot.
I would caution all who seek to enrich their knowledge to definitely seek out multiple sources.
Bowling is a very old game, most if not all of the "must fundamentals" go waaaay back.
There are no silver bullets, no one be all tell all for all book.
Different things resonate with different folks.
If you were writing a research paper for a class, the instructor would demand multiple sources. Strengthen your knowledge-base. One book is good, Two can be better.
It's also my opinion that every purchase of instructional material makes a statement that some bowlers are serious about the S-P-O-R-T, they do read, they do spend money.
Some of our members here have read every book on the sport (I know at least one)
they in turn know the game.

You can doooooooooooo it!

Re: Request for your rating of - See It, Feel It, Do It
Mo's "See It,Feel It,Do It" Easy read.Of all the books I've read on bowling I found the pictures and diagrams easier to understand than any other book or article out there.
I had read a few articles about using a hinge instead of a pushaway and didn't really understand it until I saw the stick figures and then it all made sense.
A must read for all students of the game.Mo's video "Playing the High Friction Game" is also a must view.

Re: Request for your rating of - See It, Feel It, Do It
I loved it. Very easy to read and understand.
Re: Request for your rating of - See It, Feel It, Do It
I attended a pro shop operators seminar in England and Mo Pinel was one of the speakers. His presentation was called 'See It - Feel It - Do It'. It was a PowerPoint presentation and at the end the audience was told that Mo had a book of that title available for anyone who wanted more information.
I ordered the book from The Bowling Bookstore and I was surprised to see that what I had received was a printout of the PowerPoint presentation. I have been to a number of PowerPoint presentations and I was usually offered a copy of the presentation either in printed format or a copy of the actual slides. The presenter usually offered these to compliment any personal notes that were taken. Mo Pinel obviously saw an opportunity to make some money. I think I paid 50 dollars plus postage charges and packing.
When I did receive the 'book' the last half of the book was not readable as the toner was running low in the photocopier or printer. I contacted The Bowling Bookstore and they were not particularly interested and told me that I needed to contact MoRich about the problem. I thought that was an incredible attitude because if I bought a book at Barnes & Noble that was not legible I would not be referred to Random House or Prentice-Hall or whoever. About 3 months after contacting MoRich I did receive a legible copy of the book
Anyway about the book itself. It was bound in an amateurish way and it had little or no narrative. The lack of narrative is explained because Mo was the narrator and the slides were there to complement what he was saying. Without Mo's narrative the slides might look nice but they simply are not self explanatory. The printout of the PowerPoint slide is simply a part of the overall package, which included Mo Pinel. As a standalone the book is of little value. It is like getting the icing without getting the cupcake.
Would I buy another book by Mo Pinel? The answer is no.
Would I buy anything from The Bowling Bookstore? Once again the answer is no, because the service provided by The Bowling Bookstore was extremely poor.
The sad thing is that there is such a shortage of current books on bowling that anything that is produced receives undeserved accolades.

This perspective saddens me. Mo's book is very good in communicating his ideas on the physcial game to a wide range of bowlers and it is AN excellent primary source for the appreciation and an understanding of the modern game.
Sorry to see you had a non productive experience with the Bowling Bookstore as I have had nothing but outstanding service from them starting when they were in New York 30 years ago.
