full roller layout
just wondering if a dual thumb layout has been tested in a full roller and if so how would you do it,is there a variation of the gradient line weight hole or is drilling the fingers deeper the best option to change reaction. No hurry, nothing I'm working on just curious.

Re: full roller layout
There is a variation for full rollers using a pitched balance hole. I'll have MathIsTruth do the CAD work and post the diagrams when we get time. Please give us some time.RedRiverCoach wrote:just wondering if a dual thumb layout has been tested in a full roller and if so how would you do it,is there a variation of the gradient line weight hole or is drilling the fingers deeper the best option to change reaction. No hurry, nothing I'm working on just curious.

Thank you... I want to learn the results of this layout myself but it may be a couple of weeks before I can get to it. I am behind on a couple other projects after fighting a computer virus last week so bear with me. thanks...RedRiverCoach wrote:thank you.

This is the first time this "Aggressive Full Roller" layout has been presented. IT IS BRAND NEW! and you saw it here first! It represents a lot of thorough accurate CAD research. It is currently only for asymmetrical balls because, as you know, it is much easier to control the PSA on asymmetrical balls. The research into symmetrical balls is more detailed because the PSA of a symmetrical ball can move a lot when each hole is drilled into the ball. The symmetrical "Aggressive Full Roller" layout may look completely different. Give MathIsTruth the time it takes to do the research on the symmetrical ball.
This is a feather in bowling chat's cap because it is BREAKTHROUGH research. My gratitude goes to MathIsTruth for his thorough research. THANKS, STEVE. GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!

Re: full roller layout
I know our resident "lefty" full roller is looking forward to trying this out.
Question: Do the PIN - CG - PSA need to be on a straight line for this aggressive layout to work? If they are not on a straight line does the bowtie shift from the center of grip?

Re: full roller layout
I have a few full rollers who often can't get enough from their equipment and would probably be willing to try this out.
Thanks Steve!
Thanks Steve!

Re: full roller layout
They don't need to be in a line. Line up the pin and the PSA as always. Within an inch of lining up always makes it easier.Vendetta wrote:I know our resident "lefty" full roller is looking forward to trying this out.

Re: full roller layout
Remember, the posted layout is for ASYMMETRICAL balls only. We will post the full roller aggressive symmetrical drilling shortly. The drilling for symmetrical balls has to be different because of where the PSA of the drilled ball ends up. MathIsTruth did a great job on the project, as always.RedRiverCoach wrote:Thank you very much.I have been curious about this and it just so happens I have a ball to drill for a full roller,I will let you know how it does for him.

Mo
The same bowler has also purchased a Storm Reign but is in no hurry to drill it until Steve has completed his work,I know 3 full rollers who are very excited about this,I am also sharing the info with our local P-S so it will help other bowlers in the future. This is one more example of what you,Steve and Paul have done for the bowling community and I can't thank you enough

Re: full roller layout
The second part of the full roller layout study on symmetrical equipment is now finished and can be viewed on the wiki using the following link. Thank you again for the recommendation and the positive feedback. Please note the differences when using the aggressive layout between symmetrical and asymmetrical bowling balls.
