Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
I am so ridiculously excited! I am bowling like complete crap right now so this will be a breath of fresh air that I DESPERATELY need. I am planning on Saturday only but if I decide to stay for Sunday would there be much of a problem?
Also....I have a couple of balls in the shop that I would like to have the MB location checked....is there any chance I could get that done?
Eric...does your local shop install SwitchGrip? Would there be a chance to get a blank thumb drilled if my thumb doesn't cooperate?
Thanks!!!!! C Ya Saturday.

All I have to say is WOW!!!!! So much information, so much friendship and experience to share...just total sensory overload.
Each of the coaches found something in my game that needed work and by the end of the day I was throwing the ball soooo much better than I did at the start.I cannot thank you all enough.
For those of you who could not attend, you really missed out...I just wish I was able to stay for day 2!!!
Thank you Eric, Mo, Mike, Justin and everyone else who made it happen. Special thanks go out to the owner of the center Jack Scaccia and his staff for doing a great job accommodating us.

WOW!!!! Is all I can say, I second that, Doug. You got so much info and meeting everyone was great, Having MO personally layout two balls for me was about as good as it gets. Thanks to everyone who made it happen...
Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
I am going to throw in my 2 cents as well. While I don't think I threw shots consistently over the weekend, I definitely took away a lot from the sessions. Well worth the experience.
Quick and Easy pieces took away
- My PAP has changed
- I should be looking toward more assymetric equipment (of which I own none)
- Make a decision and repeat the shot
- If my leg hurts, I'm probably doing it right
- My thumb hole is "big enough to have sex in"
For those in the Albany area, if you ever want to work on things, I am up for it.

I'm glad you thought it was valuable. I think the time we spent near the end working on the shape of your thumb hole, performance fitting you and laying out the Aggressive MOTION will tie it all together and getting things moving in the right direction for you. Please PM me if I can be of any further help. Thanks again for participating.ctwings10 wrote:I am going to throw in my 2 cents as well. Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
What a fantastic weekend. Meeting everyone was a blast. The difference from Saturday morning to Sunday night was impressive. There are quite a few folks that are going to be very happy this coming season. To say some eyes were opened was an understatement. Keep up the good work, and continue to see the results. A big thank you to the attendees for being great to work with, Mo for so freely sharing information, Mike for sharing his expertise, and Eric for setting the whole thing up. I think that is enough commas for one sentence.
Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
And a very large THANK YOU from the tiltless wonder to Mo and everyone involved with putting this event together! I really have some good stuff to work on. Kevin is drilling my ball on Friday and I'm psyched about trying it out.
I was nearly rendered Miata-less on the trip home, at the paws of what would have been my second deer of the year. Fortunately, the car didn't skid as far as my LaneOne and I missed him by almost a foot. Still shaking from that one.
Tammie says "see you next year!"

Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
I had a great time as well, and learned some new things that will serve me VERY well this upcoming season. Thanks to Eric for putting together an well organized clinic, Mo for some additional wisdom (thanks for the cue for hinging the ball more left and the taping tip), Mike for the tuck and foot spacing tips and Justin for the release tip. I will continue to work hard and in the long run, have some fun whipping some butts!
Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
All of my group made it back safely. We sparked the grill, cracked a few cold ones and talked bowling over dinner. Everyone was thrilled with the information presented in the classroom and the instruction on the lanes. Rumor is Trey drove back to Boston with one hand on the wheel and other hand making the nike swoosh...I'm not joking
It was nice to confirm that some of the changes I made after last year's clinic are now fully integrated into my game. That was not easy. For me, now the process starts again with a new worklist.
As a young coach it's invigorating to watch Mo and Mike operate. I kind of ran into the wall with my youth this season. However after the clinic, I'm ready for the little (and big) buggers to return from summer break. I have more to teach them.

Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
Having gone to it last year, I have a pretty good idea what I missed. Having a pic sent to me of my nametag with the unhappy face on it made me crack up in the middle of breakfast at the hotel. Then seeing Eric post the empty chair on facebook made me laugh too. At least I feel missed, even if it was just to be the butt of the jokes. Lol. Well, at least I had fun at the Nascar race. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pre-race pit passes I had for us. I'm hoping the timing is a little better for me next time.

Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
Each one of these clinics have had a very unique experience.
Anytime I can meet new bowlers enthusiastic about learning new things is exciting.
When they start to get it, and you see the results, its a very gratifying experience.
My time with Mo, private conversations and industry topics leave me humbled every time.
Im still convinced Mo is the single most influential person in the industry, and when I have the opportunity to ask questions and get an answer from someone like him, its like talking to a legend from any other sport.
Epic, timeless, unforgettable.
Thats Mo, in 3 words.
Even at the very end of tonight, there was a ball box on my door step, he knew it was.
"What ball is that?"
From beginning to end, always bowling.
Thank you everyone who attended the clinic, making this the best one yet.
I think everyone got more than they bargained for.

Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
I really enjoyed the clinic: the instruction, the bowling and, of course, meeting the participants. We always learn something from Mo. I appreciate his dedication to teaching the game and his ability to present ideas in a clear and logical manner. And he does that teaching in a style which is unique and never bland.
This type of event is also great for motivation. I got some help with my game, but I also got new ideas to help me in coaching bowlers in the house where I work.
Thanks go out to Eric and the others who did an excellent job in organizing the event. The lanes were fun to bowl on and everyone involved was very helpful. If there is another clinic next year, I will certainly plan on attending it.
Thanks to Mike for some very useful advice and to Dave for being welcoming.
