Hello,
Looking for some advice on a layout for an Idol Pearl, I have absolutely loved my original idol and looking for something to compliment it when the idol starts to burn up just a little to early.
The Idol is laid out xx-4.5x50
Thanks,
Right handed (2 hander)
16.5-17.5 at the monitor
450-500
PAP- 5 5/8> 3/16 down
Initial Axis Rotation- 50*
Axis Tilt- 10*

Re: Layout for an Idol Pearl
No mathematics here, just something based on your other layout. You could do a bit longer pin to pap with a lower VAL and use less surface to get it down the lane easier with a more angular reaction, maybe X x 5 x 35 or something in the like...

Re: Layout for an Idol Pearl
I've used both ideas mentioned. Both work to create a decent 2 ball set.
Tony's idea with the longer pin to PAP helps make a further separation between the 2. The lower flare will help with easier length.
Lledsmarttam's idea plays the same core reaction using the difference in coverstock to separate them.
So essentially you get the same shape just more skid due to the shinier Pearl.
I would side with Tony's idea. I have found I like a little more separation between balls.
