Re: Another two hander for you Eric
If only two reactive balls where to be picked, what general characteristics would you recommend? Solid, Pearl, medium diffs, smooth, snappy, entry level, etc...
In my case, and I have similar specs myself, I tend to like medium oil symmetrical balls, maybe a smooth solid and a long and snappy pearl or hybrid both with medium diffs, for example a GB2 and a Rebel like I gave my student in the other thread, only difference is those where for sport patterns.

Re: Another two hander for you Eric
2 ball set, definitely a dull and a shiny counterpart.
Most ball companies have that at each price point.
Ball choices are so abundant. Thus part of the reason I try to stay away from making specific ball recommendations.
I prefer to make the layout recommendations to make it work. I don't want to be the reason for buyers remorse.

Chosen balls:
-GB2 for fresh
-Rhodman Pearl or Onyx Vibe as second balls
When you say “shallow fingers” what depth should I drill them?
When you don’t say “shallow” or 4” deep, should I go 3.5” deep?

Re: Another two hander for you Eric
Shallow fingers would mean to disturb the core the least or not at all 2"
Normal finger depth 3"
I realize it is tough to not intersect the fingers when drilling them deeper. Making sure they hit the core substantially. The 4" depth would be going for a maximum effect. 3 1/2" has been Mo's deeper finger recommendation.

Re: Another two hander for you Eric
Ok, drew out all the layouts on a GB2 and I think we’re going to go with the control layout on that one. The pin position of the high rg low flare and the control is so similar I believe that the reactions are going to be about the same.
One question, the low rg low flare with the short pin is more for playing straight in a tight pattern correct?
Finally, what should I use for his other ball which more than likely will be a used Rhodman Pearl? Was reding this ball goes very long and reacts strong to dry.

Re: Another two hander for you Eric
The low Rg low flare ith deep fingers to create Asymmetry is meant to play straighter, less hook.
If what you have read is true I would opt for the Control layout 100-4.5-50TonyPR wrote:Finally, what should I use for his other ball which more than likely will be a used Rhodman Pearl? Was reding this ball goes very long and reacts strong to dry.
