Just a quick search, the CTD pads appear to be:
The Joest 6 Inch Superpad SG3 pads
useit®- Superfinishing-Pad SG3
http://www.joest-abrasives.info/main.as ... =111&lid=2
So start there if anyone is looking for different sources and/or better pricing.
About SuperPad SG3 pads - often called Abralon-type pads
SG3 sanding pads offer a unique design that allows the flexibility of sanding smooth, flat surfaces in addition to curved and complex areas. These pads are useful in virtually every environment including automotive, marine, solid-surface countertop, bowling-ball and woodworking industries. These products may be used dry, damp or wet by hand or with machine - the flexible and open construction allows air and liquids to pass freely. The Jost pads offer superior performance to many other similar pads.
Coarser grits are best for preparation of surfaces before primer and lacquer applications. Finer grits are recommended for working primers and lacquers, preparing transitions for blending and finishing top coat before polish stages.
Abralon-type pads dramatically improve solid surface countertop finish quality over common sanding discs. Woodworkers use these between coats and to improve lacquer sheen with finer grits.
These pads are used for a manufacturer's finish on bowling balls and also allow the bowling enthusiast to tune the break point of the bowling ball by experimenting with different levels of polishing; bowling balls spinners were designed for these.
Grits available for SG3 are 360, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000.

As the Joest importer into North America, I can confirm that the product mentioned above is not the TruCut pads by CTD. The trucut pads are exclusively available through CTD and not through other sources such as what is shown above. The TruCut pads were designed for bowling.

RobatJOEST, good to know!
CTD pads only come in 500, 1000, and 2000 (and I have a set).
His videos would kinda imply (at least to me) that you only need these three grits to meet your re-surfacing needs (plus some polish/compound, of course).
I wonder if there are any plans to add 3000 and 4000 to the CTD offering any time soon?
Boy, I would love to own a PAI Surface Scanner ...
