Does Semi inserts forward or reverse pitch??

Post by bestchr »

I like a vise inserts.
We don't sell here, so we always order overseas delivery.

I use a fingertip grip and a oval insert.

oval = 0
power lift = 1/4 forward pitch
power lift oval = 1/8 forward pitch
semi = ???

Does Semi have a pitch?

As the primary determination of finger tip forward/reverse is the flexability of the finger itself, I think you are making things over complicated. If the finger naturally needs 0 pitch and the insert has a built in 1/8 F the hole should be drilled to 1/8 R.

Pick one insert and simply use that one. When you order the desired inserts, order some extras for replacement purposes.

Yes

Vise Semi-Inserts. The inserts with the bubbles in them. Are they pitched forward, or at zero? Just curious. Thank you!

So the top is like adding bevel to make it more comfortable when burying your fingers deeper with a shortened span. Thus the Semi fingertip. Then the foward pitch to help give the fingers some hold similar to the action of the power lift that is on the other end of the inserts. They are a combo, one side of the grip is oval and the other side is a power lift, I wish the oval was on both sides but I guess they wouldnt sell as many inserts that way.
