Layout advise for the CASH

Post by J_w73 »

Picked up a CASH bowling ball and am looking for drilling advise. Of course looking for something for heavy oil, big overall hook, and a drilling that will help the ball retain rotation and not burn up and be DOA at the pocket.
Right Handed, 16-17 mph off hand (14 -15 mph on Qubica reading) ,350 rpm,PAP 4 3/4 x 1/4 up, 17 deg axis tilt, varied rotational axis deg.. usually 45+
Book Average 210+

For a sweeping hook, consider:

60 x 3.25 x 60

That was sort of what I was thinking. I have a Hammer Rhodman that I was going to do a similar drilling for a smooth reaction, so I don't want them to be too similar. Hoping the cover strength and asymmetric vs symmetric core will make enough of a difference. Which way to go with the Cash for a bigger backend?

Or do you think they would be different enough.

I have no experience with the Hopkinsville product.
I gave my recommendation based on your specs in your signature and what you asked for.
My More Cash video has 60 x 3 x 70 on a 42 foot sport pattern.

Because of the cg I wasn't able to lay the ball out exactly like you said but it was close. First game or so the ball wasn't looking too great. After I got some oil in the ball and a bit of track on it, it looked really good. Not a ball I'm going to be able to swing the whole lane with, but this is probably the first heavy oil ball that actually moved and hooked on heavy oil. Most heavy oil balls just do nothing more than every other ball I have. After a few games the ball looked better and better.

Just wondering how often I should refresh the surface? I tend to never be able to get the same reaction after I change the surface on balls , and I don't want to ruin this ball.
