New Group - Trusted Source
After some discussions with Mo, we have decided to open up a new group to reward our truly elite members.
The group is called Trusted Source.
The Trusted Source members display the Gold Star tag below their username, and also display the same username color as Mo.
These members have been identified by Mo as being trustworthy in their knowledge of the sport and are seen as experts within a particular discipline.
These members have displayed a willingness to help others inside and outside of the forum's virtual walls.
If the Trusted Source user is commenting on a topic outside of his/her discipline of expertise, it is expected that the posts be prefaced with "I am not an expert on this particular topic, however, this is my view:"
An important part of being trusted is that you know what you dont know.
I want to congratulate our initial 15 members of this group, this is our forum's highest esteem.
You can view the group here: Trusted Sources

....Well if it wasn't you saying it, yes. Involved in the industry for over 20 years and highly regarded in a local area can add up to old guy who doesn't know anything that all the house hacks like drinking with.kellytehuna wrote: That one person happens to have been in the industry for over 20 years and is a highly regarded coach in the Cincinnati area. Great idea. Makes it a lot easier to discern if information posted is in alignment with what MO is trying to teach us. Now all I have to do is look for the "Trusted Source" tag and know that MO has faith in that individual to provide us aligned information.
THANKS MO and CONGRATULATIONS to all on the "THE LIST". You've most likely "EARNED" it having attended MO's School of Hard Knocks!

Congrats everyone, especially John, Kelly and Justin, very well deserved!
Re: New Group - Trusted Source
A great and unintended takeaway from this topic: I stumbled onto Kelly's blog while looking at the list. I honestly had no idea it existed, but there is some GREAT information there.
To the others that didn't know: http://kellytehuna.com/blog/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nice work, Kelly! I especially enjoy the posts where you take a topic that is being discussed in depth here and bring it back to its most basic level before building it back up to the topic I read here. (E.G. "Does the drilling angle matter on symmetrical balls") That one is an exact topic where I was piecing information together from several topics, and now its all in one place in an easy to understand format. I hope you continue with posts like that in the future and PLEASE feel free to pimp your website here and let us know when you post new content.
Again, great work!

Re: New Group - Trusted Source
I appreciate the props! I'm thinking I might have to create a separate Bowling blog and actually try to keep it up to date! LOL! My blog is such a random mish-mash of topics. Some political, some personal, some bowling and others just plain ramblings! LOL!Bahshay wrote:A great and unintended takeaway from this topic: I stumbled onto Kelly's blog while looking at the list. Let me set this issue straight. I've interacted with HITTFACTOR for approaching three decades. He is highly qualified to speak on any bowling subject he chooses. I want him to post more because he is a valuable addition to this site. I personally vouch for his integrity and knowledge. Kellytehuna and JimMerrell can back me up.
The most valuable trait that all these people possess is that they know what they know and they know what they DON'T know. I don't expect anyone to be knowledgeable in every facet of bowling. I just want them to speak on the areas about which they are knowledgeable. We have built something special here. I am extremely proud of the people who have been helping me because this site is growing and growing and I can't always be available to answer every post in a timely manner. I think this is the right step to take at this time to allow the site to continue to grow at the rate bowling wants it to. Other people will be added to this category over time as they are recognized as being knowledgeable enough for this designation. I put this list together just to get it started. If you weren't included in the initial list, don't think you might not be added in the future. So please continue to post. I'll be observing, as always. I read ALL the posts on my two forums. I hope this adds clarification to this event.

Re: New Group - Trusted Source
I agree 100% with the approval of HITTFACTOR as a Trusted Source!
As far as pro shops go Hitt's is and always has been a great business model.
Their reputation is based on a very simple motto:
Customer service, Customer service, Customer service.
