Just got off the phone with Jack.
We're able to pick 3 non-THS patterns for the clinic.

Im going to pick from the Kegel site.
If any attendees have a preference or want to see a certain pattern featured at the clinic and can attest to it holding up well, please post.

I'll be looking at the entire list tonight and posting my thoughts.
Lets target for shots between 39 and 43 feet that will hold up well with good volume up front.

Hey man! Think of your left handed, skill challenged friend;-)

Btw, my wife is contemplating the clinic as well. TheMilkMan may bring the Milk;-) I was going to say I was bringing the cow, but I want to sleep comfortable tonight.

3 Pairs will be patterns probably none of us have bowled on before, decreasing in difficulty all the way down to house shot.

Pair 1: Hardest - 2011 European Bowling Tour Masters-Long

Pair 2: Difficult - 2010 European Bowling Tour BNC Open

Pair 3: Harder Than THS - 2011 USBC Women's US Open

The above 3 look like they should hold up well to traffic.
The remaining 2 or 3 pairs will have a THS on them for everyone to escape to once in a while.

If you have any objections let me know now, im calling these in at the end of the week.
The lane surface is synthetics up front and a cherry reddish wood backend.
Beautiful lanes.

Eric,

See if Jack has a "drop brush" feature on his machine. I have a house pattern I'd like to include.

Mo,

I just spoke with him, and his machine is older and does not have that function available.
However, he was open to a new house shot design.

Good catch, looks like I cant use those patterns.
I have selected 3 others and will post them after giving to Jack today.

In light of the Phoenix-S Tournament Edition not having a drop brush function, here are the patterns I've proposed to Jack and will follow up with him next week to see if he can accommodate.

I want to have a little something for everyone out there, from really difficult to easy.
3 Pairs will be these shots below and 3 pairs will be the THS.

Pair 1: Hardest - 2008 USBC Team USA Trials - Long

Pair 2: Difficult - 2009 USBC Women's Championships

Pair 3: Harder Than THS - 2008 DBU German Championships

I'm sure excited! But I also have a bit of a quandary going. I plan on making the switch from left back to my natural right hand, having confidence in Mo's ability to fit me. The problem is that I have no right-handed equipment left. Not jack. Nada. Zilch. So, I am completely unable to answer those preliminary fit/style questions. If the sections of the seminar are listed in order on the description, there is an on-lane session before the fitting portion. I would certainly have no problem just watching and learning during that session, but don't want to miss too much (or cause any disruption.)

Is there anything I could do to prepare for this? I have no idea at what point of the clinic I can purchase a ball and have it drilled, if I even can! I really don't want to buy a ball beforehand and have it drilled elsewhere. Especially with my 'arsenal" typically consisting of one bullet. Thanks in advance for any insight... Jon

Go to the Wiki and do a good Wiki fit. Post the results and we'll go from there.

Thanks, Mo. I hate to say it, but there is nobody in my immediate area that I would trust to help me with the Wiki fit! The good news is that while cleaning my garage, I did find a Roto Grip Epic Saga that was my last right-handed ball. So, I do in fact have something to throw at the clinic. If I can't get one of your balls drilled there I could hook up with Doug and take a trip to Owego some day so that he might work his magic.

I'm really excited that I'll be able to get guidance and get fit by such knowledgeable people, and look forward to meeting you and some forum members!

We just hit that hard cap of 42.
Any one interested not on my list will have to show up and hope one of the reserved folks does not show up.
Be on site before 11:10AM Saturday or potentially lose your spot!

Not bad, last year Route 20 had construction and was about a 10 minute delay.
Should be a pretty smooth ride for you.
We'll be there at 9AM, so if you want to get there early, we'll let you in.

Looking forward to Saturday. Last year was one of the best clinics I was ever involved in.
Mike Luongo has also expressed his enjoyment of last years clinic and is looking forward to it again. JustinWi will add a lot by his presence.

There will be a number of Aggressive MOTIONs available for purchase at the clinic. They can be purchased on a cash and carry basis at a discount. I won't discuss the pricing until the day of the clinic. I will layout those Aggressive MOTIONs personally for anyone who would like me to. Pro Shop pricing will also be available to those pro shop operators who are attending. They will be mostly 15#ers. but I will have some 14# and 16#ers with me. If you need 14# or 16# balls, please let MegaMav know.

See you Sat. Remember, there is also a Sunday session available.

We are planning to arrive between 10 and 10:30. There shouldn't be too much traffic on the Mass Pike at that time of the morning.
