Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
I'm pleased to announce the details of the Albany, NY clinic.
We're back at Jack Scaccia's Town N' Country Lanes in Guilderland, NY.
This time we're presenting Mo's "The True System of Bowling".
Please find the details below via direct link for the people not logged in or lurking as well as the members.
http://www.bowlingchat.net/AlbanyMoClinic2011.pdf
These are full days of bowling, coaching and learning. You will sleep well at night.
Please post here with any questions and if you plan on attending, you can PM me or email me to the address in the attachment.
I will be keeping a counts of those who attend so we can plan lanes and lunch accordingly.
There will be many opportunities to purchase materials and products as well as an entry into the new urethane/plastic only matchplay bracket on a sport shot.
I will work out the lane oil pattern situation, depending upon how many we get.
We had 28 last year and we spanned 8 lanes, 4 THS, 2 Shark, 2 Cheetah. I expect to mix it up this year, but I will post whats going on well in advance.
If you'd like just a small sampling of the clinic, watch the video below, it was a helluva time, with many stories to tell from all the participants.
These videos encompass only about 13 minutes of about 13 hours of clinic.

Well I just picked up a Cee Lo Green bird outfit, so I can be Mo's parrot again;-) After all the fun I had last year there's no way I'd miss it like Preston. I'm sure CountryStrong and a few others will be in tow as well. I'll make sure they sign up ASAP to avoid trouble getting a final count.

Eric,
Give me 25 flyers. I'm going to bowl teams this weekend at states and hopefully heading to CT for a NEBA. States is only a 40min drive this yr. and I know several bowlers at this house that may be interested. I'll leave them on the tables and such. Especially as I cross at NEBA. I'll also leave those business cards you gave me out as well. I've already sent the link to 10 people and had good feed back. As long as I don't get a ticket like I did last Thursday

I'm in for Saturday... awesome!!!
Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
Hi, everybody! New guy here. My name's Jon and I live in northern NY.
I'm wondering if I should attend this event. Frankly, after digesting some of the collective knowledge of this board I'm a little intimidated! This will be my 3rd year of bowling lefty, as the result of a renegade ground-ball to the finger. I'm still using my (very tame) first ball and am definitely ready to get something more dynamic and swing the ball again, as I did from the right side. For sure a house bowler, any sharks or cheetahs I might encounter will likely be on The Discovery Channel!
I've been drooling over the alpha-max and the rebate, but wondered if this event would allow me to:
1) Purchase a Morich ball
2) Have it drilled and use it for the on-alley portion of the seminar. Mine is sometimes tracking over a finger hole and I would certainly like any instruction to happen with the new one.
It's a given that I will learn a lot about layouts, lanes and general bowling knowledge.
Thank you for all that I've learned already... Jon

Jon,
Welcome to the community.
Everyone that attended the event that I've talked to said it was a fantastic experience and they got more out of it than the cost of what they put into it.
MoRich balls will be available for purchase including the *NEW* Aggressive Motion.
Not only that but you will get a 1st class lesson from Mo himself (former lefty), as well as in the classroom education on how to make your game better.
If you're even remotely in the area, I'd encourage you to attend.
There are quite a few members coming down from the Canadian border that weekend to attend.

Re: Albany NY Clinic - 7/16 & 7/17
Thank you for the reply. Since it would appear that the fact I can't bowl doesn't disqualify me from attending, it looks like I'll miss the steel drum group's annual cookout again. Got to prioritize, right?
Sounds like I'll learn a lot... There are two teammates within +5 pins of me who'd better watch out!
I'm about an hour from the border, myself. There's a pretty strong bowling tradition up here.

I'll be there, of course.
I'm also working on bringing some folks with me this year. My Monday night team is pretty much confirmed. Put me down for Slap +3.
