BowlingChat.net Members,
I'm excited to introduce our latest addition to the community.
Our very own bowling map.
This map will help you find:
Bowling Alleys
Coaches
Pro Shops
Events
Tournaments
Members
...and even where Mo is across the country!
See your locations at street level to know what the venue looks like, even get directions to get you there.
Filter out marker types to get the information you need fast!
The best part about this map is, anyone within and outside of our community can add markers to the map.
How it works:
You can load the map using the button on the toolbar or go to http://map.bowlingchat.net
Drag the map to move around the world, double click to zoom in on a loaction.
If you want to get more infomation about a marker, just click it.
Have a marker you want to add?
Just click 'Add new marker' at the top and select what type of marker it is, fill out the appropriate information, and submit.
The information you provide in the address field determines where the marker is placed.
Make sure your address information is complete with the following:
Number Road Ave.
City, State Zip
International addresses should include the target country.
If you're a member and want to get on the map without telling everyone exactly where you live, only include City/State along with your usename in the name field..
You cannot edit or delete markers, so make sure you have all of the correct information entered before submitting.
If you do need to have a correction made, please contact me, and include the latitude and logitude if your marker wasnt placed correctly, using this utility: http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I will update it accordingly.
If you're an alley owner, proshop, coach, event holder or tournament director, get yourself on the map, and start getting our members at your events today.
You can put all kinds of information on your marker like, phone number, address, website, event cost, date and time, and anything extra in our extra information field.
I want to send out a special thank you to Kelly Te Huna for helping me with this project.
Without him this project would not have been completed with nearly the quality or number of features it has.
If you have any application programming or website needs, please reach out to him.
Everyone, get yourself on the map!
-Eric

Looks good, I think having the map filters shown by default would be nice since it has the key and doesn't really get in the way.
