Got a little split happy. Extremely poor execution doesn't even begin to cut it. I just sucked.

Gave myself a chance until frame 7 of game 2. Totally whiffed on solving transition and ended up with a tire fire until the 3rd frame of game 3.

Good luck to Maine Man in the next round.

Thanks LFALW, and nice set. 683 isn't anything to sneeze at my friend.

Thanks, much appreciated.

While 683 is a decent set, I made too many mental errors and should have scored higher:

1. 2 missed 7 pins.
2. Reacting too late to transition and leaving a 6-7-10.
3. Choosing the wrong adjustment and lost carry - moving 2 and 1 and opening up a little bit instead of balling down.

I only bowl once a week so both my physical game and mental game are not that sharp. I need to work on my game and by that I mean actually bowling...

Good luck in the next round.

754 last night, lost a little bit of pin carry game three, went 269, 257, 228. I think I chased it too far in instead of balling down and staying further outside. The Brunswick Fanatic SS (50* x 5.5" x 30*) was the ball of choice last night, so glad I took the surface to 1500 w/royal factory compound. Box finish was way too strong in the mids for what I have been seeing around here, even on some of the flatter patterns. Hopefully my good bowling the past month will translate to a big tournament I have in Keene, NH this weekend. Good luck to those remaining in this round!

Semi final results.

Best of luck to Jim (Maine Man) and Kyle (trackbowler).
You've both bowled great up to this point. Best of luck and let the best bowler win!

Thanks for running it again this year Eric, no matter what happens in the final it's been a good time and a lot of fun.

Eric,

There is a good chance my league will cancel tonight due to inclement weather. Will I be able to just use next week's scores for submission if that happens? Let me know, thank you!

Congratulations to trackbowler on winning the 2017 BowlingChat.net Matchplay Championship!
Enjoy the bragging rights icon until next year's competition.
I hope everyone that participated had fun, and I hope all of you and another 16 members sign up next year for a full field of 32.
