Just off the top of my head in no particular order (in other words, I think these are all neccessary to have):

mill drill with at least the 24 bit kit (I've purchased a few more bits since getting the 24 kit and still want some more too)
measuring system
kaufman or dodo scale
ball spinner (no not Mr. BallSpinner...;) )
sanding material (I like Sia and Abralon but sandpaper works and costs less)
plug cutting bit (or plug cutting router)
pitch measuring tools
ball plug & coloring kit
hole dams (for use when plugging balls)
bevel sander (and a few different types of sanding discs)
pro sect
armadillo
span gauge
miscellaneous tools like pliers, hammer, utility knife, screw driver, etc
a couple different types of ball cleaner
3 or 4 different types of polishes / finishing compounds
finishing tools (workout tool, bevel knife, rasp, etc)
finger insert remover
cash register / point of sale / accounting software
spray bottles (for water)
TONS of towels
TONS of super glue
TONS of greese pencils
training / lots of practice

I think those are the most important items...did I miss anything? This list doesn't include the retail side with products and display materials.

I think the Jayhawk digital scale is awesome, but it is almost triple the cost of a regular scale (which is already expensive) and takes up a lot more space. Also, I'm still hoping that static weight requirements will get modified or eliminated in the near future so I would hesitate to invest any more than necessary in a weighing machine.

It's been years since I looked at one / read about it, but in the past I heard some people say that the old fashion scales are more accurate. I don't know how true that is, and it probably greatly depends on the person using it.

If you have that much extra money to spend, buy a DeTerminator (one for me too please)!

I really not have too much money!!! But if i have a lotterywin i´ll present you a Determinator. By the way there is nobody here who have a determinator in his equipment. They say its not needed!

MattInTheHat pretty much covered what you need. However, JohnP is right. A Resurfacer will drop your work load by A LOT.

Part of my pro shop lease is to repair bowling ball damage. A resurfacer really helps to make the job easier, as well as to free up a set of hands (you can have the ball in the resurfacer while you work on something else). Also, a resurfacer makes coverstock changes much easier and much more uniform.

If you buy Haus, get the Gen2 model. I have a Cooks' Sphere Resurfacer, and am totally satisified with it . Both are good products, you decide!

Today's bowling balls can exhibit dynamic fluctuations in their performance before and after drilling. Proper layout and drilling can make or break the performance for a customer.

The DeTerminator is the only machine available that can show the pro shop operator (and the customer) the changes in the dynamics of the ball, both before and after drilling. For a plugged bowling ball, the DeTerminator is the only way to take the guesswork out of a proper layout for a customer.

My guess is that someday the DeTerminator will be a staple of every competent pro shop, much like the mill drill press.
