Sums up my night perfectly.

Guy special orders a 505A. Ball arrives and I setup an appointment to drill the ball. He shows up without anything....no ball, no shoes, nada. So, I do a fresh fit and threw a dart for a layout b/c "I throw it pretty slow". Oh well, can't blame me when shit like that happens.

Story of my life. I have the added bonus of being only 19 and thus much less knowledgeable than the local "strike-at-will" house bowler.

Glad I'm out of the industry, at least for the moment...

How many times to you have to hear...
-I want this ball to hook/strike (I said I was going to shoot the next person that said that, I mean haha)
-I got a nick, I want a new one
-I got this off the Internet, it was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up (orly?)
-I want this ball drilled exactly like this one. Customer then hands me their grandma's ball which is likely 25x to small. Seriously?
-200lb women comes in, I just can't throw this 8lb ball it's way to heavy. Drill me a 6lb'r. 1 week later...Same women comes in with the ball & a gigantic crack. I'm sorry we can't warranty 6lb balls, I told you that when I drilled it. Whatever, you're such an a*hole. This same problem is even more fun when it's a grown man that needs a light ball so he can "hook-it".

Luckily the new generation of bowlers in my area listen to my explanations. Where as the senior/veteran (no offense) bowlers wont.

Haha. These could be in my next video. I love it! I love the guy who has a chip above his finger holes or some place that the track doesn't come close to. It's a brand new ball and you try to explain to them that, to plug it effectively and cut off the plug, you're going to have to sand it down and "resurface" that part of the ball. And now I'm the moron cause I can't plug it while saving the surface of the rest of the ball. Soooooo dumb!

Got to love the sterotype, I know the feeling of trying to explain something to a older guy just to get it shot down due to age, if I was wrong that's one thing but the youth excuse gets old real quickly.

I guess that just goes with my pet pev, if you dont believe the answer, dont ask the question.
Only throwing the good stuff, Roto Grip/900 Global
