Pain in fingers

Post by TonyPR »

My fit is 3/8-3/8 laterals, 1.25” reverse both fingers and conventional (no thumb). Lately I’ve been having pain in the fingers when I release the ball. These 14# balls were drilled 1 bit size smaller than the 10, 11 and 12# I was using to learn speed. They fit quite snug and make a popping sound when I release. Most of the pain is on my MF. Could this be the holes are too tight? Do you prefer to fit conventional a bit on the looser? Maybe more bevel?

Yes, it sounds like your finger holes are too small and need to be opened up some. I do prefer to fit a conventional grip with looser finger holes (but not the thumb hole). -- JohnP
