Vise IT on Inception DCT Pearl

Post by proshop » February 16th, 2018, 5:59 pm

Tried installing a Vise It on this ball. The drill would not go deeper than 3". Apparently this ball has a ceramic core which does not allow to drill deep.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep this in mind if I ever get one in the shop.

Thought it came with a warning right on the box, which only helps if the customer brings the ball in the original box to the shop. Another ball on the market making it harder on the PSO.

I've got one of those balls, The Ti Messenger, I wanted to put a SwitchGrip in it and my drilller hit the Titanium core. He was taking it really slow knowing it was there. Also not using the switchgrip bit piloting it with a smaller less important bit. As soon as he felt resistance he stopped before ruining it. He warned me before starting it might not be possible.

It says right on the ball to not drill deeper than 2.75 inches. This makes a no go for Vise IT with these balls.
Right Handed, 18 -19 mph off hand (16 - 17 mph on Qubica reading) ,350 rpm,PAP 4 3/4 x 1/4 up, 17 deg axis tilt, varied rotational axis deg.. usually 45+
Book Average 220+
