Thumb Nail Trouble

Post by GrantE »

Hi All,

I need some advice on some trouble I am having with my thumb. Each time I bowl my thumb nail goes blue and get redness just below the nail. The problem seems to get worse if I have a week off bowling which is strange and better when I bowl more.
My pro shop guy has no idea but said my span is correct. My span is 4 1/2 full span and I have 1/8 rev and 0 pitch on my thumb

Any advice would be appreciated.

The link below gives you some ideas. To check your spans yourself put ypur thumb in the ball and lay your fingers over their holes without stretching. The gripping surface of each hole should fall halfway between the two finger joints. -- JohnP
