I live in an area with no pro shops and am in need of help. My thumb never seems to clear the ball clean when I bowl. I am a left hander and was wondering if anyone had suggestions with my fit that could help.
Left handed. Span cut to cut is 4 and 3/16
RF pitches 0 reverse 1/2 left
MF pitches 0 reverse 3/8 right
Thumb pitches 0 forward 0 reverse 1/8 right.
Any and all help is appreciated.

Re: Fit question?
Post a picture with your thumb in its hole and your fingers laying over the top of their holes. Mark the center of the distance between the two joints with a Sharpie and take the picture so we can see where the marks hit on the gripping surface. If the spans are right the marks will be at the gripping surface. In that case, try a little more bevel first. -- JohnP

There is a complete fitting guide in the Wiki...stcry32 wrote:I live in an area with no pro shops and am in need of help. My thumb never seems to clear the ball clean when I bowl. I am a left hander and was wondering if anyone had suggestions with my fit that could help.

Go through this information and see how your grip compares to what you come up with using this guide.
Another picture to provide is the Coke can test.
Do you use an oval shaped thumb hole?
