How to properly weigh a ball with 3 finger holes

Post by MattInTheHat »

I have a customer who had me add an extra finger hole for his index finger and wanted to make sure I have it laid out right for measuring the statics.

Thanks!

find midpoint of all spans.

find midpoint between index finger spans midpoint and middle finger spans midpoint.

find midpoint between middle finger spans midpoint and ring finger spans midpoint.

find midpoint of result midpoints above...

drink after scaling ;)

your lines look pretty good.

Wow :) Great Tip, Thank you :) does it work the same with people that have 4 & 5 finger holes? we have some bowlers down here that do that. Would it work the same way "king of the mill"?

yes sir!

just determine all individual spans midpoints, then resolve all individual spans until you find the center.

Awesome :) i saved that pic for reference lol. Thank you. Ummmm we have 2 people 4 finger holes and thumb. Another with 5 O.O, more like a 4, but with a close weight hole. But he puts his finger in there sometimes x) As when we had to clean the ball, we noticed the weight hole had a piece of black tape inside haha :)
