Pro shop recommendations in Michigan?

Post by browserLOL »

I need some new equipment punched up and haven't had much luck around Metro Detroit.

Anyone have experience at either Royal Scot (Lansing) or Airport Lanes (Jackson)?

I have family that goes to Royal Scot and a nationals teammate that goes to Airport, but looking for some confirmation.

Thank you for the mention, Mr. Hartwell.

If you are wanting to see Mo, there are still openings Monday early afternoon or Tuesday late afternoon here at Merri-Bowl in Livonia. I would also be more than happy to help you if you like. As far as Airway vs Royal Scott, I have no experience with the shop at Airway. Dave Spohn at Mr. K's Pro Shop in Royal Scott is a true student of the game that cares for his customers.

So I just attended the Radical bowling instruction and fitting seminar that Ron posted about (in this thread) at Merri-Bowl in Livonia, Mi. I can vouch that Ron is one of the best pro shop guys I have worked with thus far. Between Mo Pinel (mastermind behind the Radical Bowling Ball tech was in the house!), Mo's bowling and fitting advice and the expert ball setup and drilling by Ron, I couldn't be happier! I agree with Ron that Royal Scot's Guys are good as well but I was really amazed at the work Ron put into my new Radical Fix. First game rolled proved to be proof of their combined knowledge working with (me) a 162 avg. league bowler rolling a 203 for the first game on a new ball new setup/layout! The way this new ball is rolling made my hour long trip down more than worth it!

Ron is one that doesn't care to brag on himself but I think his willingness to host Mo for that two day event and his care and attention to specs (not to mention the amount of work he was put under from Mo LOL) puts him on the top of my list for a go-to-Pro Shop guy!!

Thanks again Ron and Mo, Great event, great advice, Great Service!!
