Pro-Shop Recommendation

Post by pjape »

I have a friend who lives in Lynchburg Virginia, and he would like to have his hand remeasured and his equipment redone. He recently bought three balls (one an undrilled Dark Star) and a two ball bag for $12.00 at a yard sale. :o He knows they don't fit him correctly as he got some blisters when he bowled with them. He told me he hasn't been measured in 30 years, so I think it's time.

I did some quick checking, and the pro shop at the AMF house is called "Big Dogz Pro Shop." I have no idea who runs it, or if he is competent. Are any of you familiar with this shop? Does the owner know what he's doing? If not, do you have any recommendations that aren't too far away? He's not currently bowling in a league, but would like to get back into it.

Thanks!

The IBPSIA website will only list current members of the IBPSIA. It does not indicate if a Pro Shop has completed any recognised training program, even their own HOTS course.

The Bowlingball.com website lists a few proshops in Lynchburg VA but there is no indication if any have completed a recognised training program.

I don't know how close you are but you can visit Ronnie Horton at NRV in Christiansburg/Blacksburg. Forgive but Im not very familiar with the area but Ive known Ronnie from some time and he's an outstanding PSO.
