What determines whether a core is symmetrical or asymmetrical? Is it the shape of the core, or ..... ??? I ask because the core of the new Hammer Deadly Aim is considered by online vendor "Bowler X" to be asymmetrical, yet the shape of the core looks to be quite symmetrical.

So, .008 or higher = asym? Is it also referred to as PSA differential, or is that something different?

An intermediate diff. on the undrilled ball of <.010" makes the ball a symmetrical ball because when you drill it, the PSA of the drilled ball will move to the area of the thumb hole until a balance hole is added.
