Did someone say "Frenzy?"

Post by kellytehuna »

Today, I was supposed to drill up a couple balls for some friends, so I figured I'd get in early and punch up the Frenzy. Having worked out my rev rate and ball speed recently, I decided to go with more of a control drilling with 60° / 4" / 50°, which put the pin in the ring finger. I considered dropping the VAL angle to 40°, just to make sure I ended up with enough back end, but I needn't have worried about that.

All I can say is HOLY SH*T! LOL! This ball was super clean through the heads and even at the box finish of 4000, NO over reaction on the back end. And what a back end! As long as I got this ball to about the 7 board at the end of the pattern, there was no to worry about the ball making the turn!

I started with my feet at 20, shooting over 10. After just one shot, I knew I would have to change zones. I moved in to around 30 shotting at around 14,15. I often end up standing at about 35, shooting over 17 by the end of the night with the Response, so I think these balls will fit together very well. Start out with the Response, then switch to the Frenzy when the starts to get a little fried.

The only downer, and this isn't really the balls fault, was that once the track got burnt up, which is usually around 7 - 12, the Frenzy just bounces off of that, unless I REALLY throw the ball hard to get through it. I have the same problem with the Response and Avalanche Solid. The Avalanche Solid is supposed to be my dry lane ball, but it seems once the track wears out, its almost best to go with plastic straight up the track area.

I can't wait to put these balls to use together in tournaments this year! Thanks again, Morich!
