Layouts for arsenals....

Post by fufu »

Mo(and others), I noticed in the WRW post that you basically used 3 layouts for him. Do you think it is best for each bowler to find a SUM of Angles that works will for him/her? If so, would recommend building the arsenal using the sum +/- 10 to 15*?

My 3 favorite balls have a SUM of 85, 90 and 90. It seems that 90 should be my target number with anything from 80 to 105 working well for me. Now, all of those balls are sym cored balls and the layout numbers I've listed are the PRE drilling angles. I could get the numbers off two without weight holes using the thumb hole, the 3rd I'd need a deTerminator...which I don't have access too.

Thoughts?

Each bowler should find the sum that best works for them depending upon their ball speed and rev rate. I would like to see the sum of the angles on your symmetrical equipment using the thumb hole as the PSA to compare the Pre-drill measurements. Your "low to moderate tilt" leads me to believe you should use higher ratios of angles like 2:1 to 3:1. Just my thoughts really, I'll let Mo and others take over..... How is your eye? back to 100% I hope..

Using the thumb hole,

Momentum Swing
70 x 4 1/2 x 35

Rampage
70 x 5 x 30

Eye was back to normal after a couple of weeks. Scary incident, glad there is no lasting effects.

So a sum of 100* and 105*. That goes along with your speed and revs matching. I noticed the angle ratios of 2:1 as soon as I read it. And those are two of your favorites?

I look forward to hearing about the changes in your game after your work with Mo. I watched your videos earlier today. Good luck...

Yes, those are my favorite balls. :o I also like my 2nd Dimension, but it has a P2 hole and I don't have a way to spin it. Prior to drilling, the layout was 60 x 3 x 30, again 2:1.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure I'll work it out. I always do. I had another lesson today and I'm already seeing some improvements. Just gotta keep working at getting better.

You are learning the value of a DeTerminator. Will call you Friday about the lesson. I have a 9 hour drive. What's a good time to talk? I have your number.
