Scott,

I saw that you plan on take this higher in grit or polishing it.
Do you remember that Jason said that at P4000 grit or polished, this ball acts like a reactive pearl? It must be a very light loadof particles.
But, more importantly, that implies it'll be or act like your New Breed Pearl all over again and you got rid of that one.

Doesn't that worry you at least a little bit?

Jeff,

I sold the NBP to Vernon because at the time I was going to go away from Visionary (PBA Sr. regionals) , Since, that has changed this ball is to replace the NBP. I still think it will react differently than the NBP. Left OOB it will start up to early on most conditions that I see. Other balls ie. Solid Gladiator etal I use for earlier motion.

I am also going to spin this one up before drilling. I did not do that with the NBP as my driller did not have a DeTerminator at that time. So, a different layout is very possible. Pin up for sure.

BTW....the PIE which is reminiscent of the NBPP started early in OOB 600 grit most I have known have all polished a PIE to be able to use it on most conditions. Heads just don't contain that much oil on either house shots or sport patterns when using new aggressive equipment. Break down to fast.

FWIW...I am going to leave the NBPP in OOB surface before doing anything to it to see what kind of roll it produces. I always like to see what the ball will do OOB the way the manufacturer intended.

I thought the PIE (Purple Ice Executioner?) was a Pearl URETHANE particle, Like the Midnight Scorcher was a solid urethane particle. That would make it not comparable to this NBPP resin particle pearl, no?

I'd say close just guessing will know more after I get it drilled on roll it. The core is IMO a way different roll with the Serpentine core vs. the Executioner core.

Jeff,

I haven't used it enough to give an informed answer. One game Sat. Much better ball motion than PIE I can say that for the NBPP. Does give you that light fuzzy feeling if you know what I mean. :D

I left it OOB and will do so for awhile. I am using it in conjunction with Solid Gladiator and Rattler.

I'll take some pics with more info. this week.

Sounds good.

I am struggling trying to find oil. Currently using a 4000 grit matte finish Hot Rod as my "oiler'!!!!! Tearing my hair and eyes and everything else out, literally!

Here's the layout I put on the NBPP and I used it that way OOB surface 2000ab. Ball motion is like most of what I have seen from a NBP and now this NBPP. Decent length in OOB and a straight move off the spot when they find friction to the hole. Not a skid/flip but a straight-ish move towards the hole is the best I can explain it. I saw this from the NBP I had also.

I added a light coat of Legends polish over the OOB surface. We'll see.

Is it designed to be between the other two? Also just curious how this and the NBP compare to the Gladiator Pearl in terms of hook potential.

Gotta say this one looks much better than the other 2.
