is there a rule with asymmetrical balls and symmetrical balls
is it better to play with a symmetrical ball deep outside line to ...
and with asymmetrical ball inside to deep inside line
or inversely or nothing to see
everything depends on the surface and the layout and the core

Asymmetrical react to friction quicker and symmetrical are more continuous. So all depends on the conditions.

I like asymms for versatility in drilling, but on THS it really does not matter much (inside vs outside lines; both work very well with appropriate layout and surface) unless the bowler metrics are below 2 or above 4. (with regard to the 5 point bowler efficiency scale, with 3 being a matched bowler)
