Katana Vs. Conspiracy pearl
Could anyone give me a comparison on the Katana vs. the Conspiracy Pearl? I am seeing mixed reviews from Bowling this month vs what i believe the design intent for the conspiracy is supposed to be. BTM says the conspiracy has more back end. I thought the Katana was supposed to be more on the back and the Conspiracy core was supposed to be more continuous.

Re: Katana Vs. Conspiracy pearl
My experience with the conspiracy Pearl is that the hook phase is longer and smoother than most pearl asymms. It's definitely not as angular as I thought it would be. 55x30@5.25"
Storm Physix with the same layout is very quick, with excellent recovery from deep inside lines on long, heavy patterns.

Re: Katana Vs. Conspiracy pearl
I have both the original Katana and the Conspiracy Pearl, with the same layout 50 x 3 7/8" x 30, no x-hole. At box finish the Conspiracy Pearl is a few feet longer, 2-3 boards more overall hook, and more angular than the Katana. I will say both balls take to surface changes very well, as I took my Katana to 2000 to take advantage of how it picks up the mid-lane and chews through the oil, and I took the Conspiracy Pearl to 4000 to give it length while keeping the sharper backend hit. I hope that helps.
