brunswick gold crown ball

Post by mrbean »

i just saw this ball on ebay and it says there are real gold flakes in it. i don't think there are, but has anyone ever used this ball or seen it used? and if there is real gold would it justify the price of $1000?!Image
If I had 6 hours to chop down a tree I would spend the first 4 sharpening the axe.

With the spot price of gold at about $1100 per ounce, one would hope there's almost an ounce worth in there!!!

Yes the Gold Crown actually does have gold in it, But it's only gold flakes/leaf.

Those flakes are so thin and light (Plus you have to take gold purity into account) there's no way they have a $1000 in gold in it.

The Gold crowns that are worth a lot are the undrilled ones with a low serial number.
