Very Strong Heavy Oil Symetric Ball

I had a Scandal and it cracked and looking for a replacement for it. Would the Storm Phaze II be a good replacement. I already have a Guru Supreme which is a heavy Oil Asymetric. I believe that a Hammer Riped or the other balls that are Asymetric would be real close to what the Guru Surpeme is.

Phaze II is a great ball as long as you don't mind extra maintenance. That cover needs more love than my wife on Valentine's Day. Which reminds me.....

I am a real fan of the Dare Devil Trick. So much so that I have one new-in-box waiting to be drilled when the current one is completely done.

I was thinking Phaze II but being hard headed it isn't the "top of the line" it is one below the top of the line. The Specs on the Phaze II look good. The Idol looks good though, the weight block looks similar to the scandal I think.

Not saying the Phaze II is right or wrong for you but I have to try to talk you out of this notion.

Storm's Premier line is top shelf, always asym.

Storm's Master line is top shelf, always sym.

No asyms in the Master line, no syms in the Premier line. It's just the way Storm plays it.

Even the Signature line is priced as top-shelf.

There are a lot of strong symmetric core pieces available right now, Brunswick has the Magnitude 055, they also have the Fanatic SS around on clearance. The Idol by Roto looks intriguing but we'll have to see. Radical Quick Fix is a possibility depending on layout.

I picked up a Ebonite Game Breaker 3 along with a Hammer Ripped (scandal replacement). the ebonite Game Breaker 3 is really strong. I was able to play 12 to 9 on the fresh (from the start) when usually it is out of bounds until the lanes get a bit drier. That thing sucks up a lot of oil. I had to wipe the ball each time I threw it for the oil rings. The only problem now is hitting 12 and projecting out instead of hitting 15 and going straight up that. When your used to going mainly straight up the boards and now you have to turn at a good angle, walk straight while being turned sideways and then having to swing at the same time isn't easy.

Haven't tried the ripped have to find a condition I need it on. Last week the lanes were "triple oiled". The lane machine wasn't cleaning properly and it was putting oil on top of oil on top of oil I was told from the people that worked there this week. So basically it was just a Gob of oil out there and a mess. They have 2 lane machines, 1 for 1 end and 1 for the other end. I am quite sure 1 was broken (our end) while the other end had the good machine.

The scandal cracked sitting on a carpeted floor. It had very low games on it. no idea how it cracked. I have thrown the ripped once and that is it so far.

From what I've heard, the Idol is a Haywire on steroids. That's never a bad thing.

The Phaze II offers less midlane skid + a more controlled motion at the breakpoint. It is one of the strongest balls in the Master Line. Would definitely recommend.
