Hello : I'm new here, I have a new Marvel pearl with layout 55X5 1/4X70. I am a Cranker Player my PAP is 5 1/2 - 1/4 up.

My release its similar to Pete Weber , I dont have other reference .

The ball has a small balance hole on P3

Do you know If I correct this doing deeper and bigger the blanace hole ?

Or do you have some trick to try to correct the ball ?

Please help I dont want to plug the ball.

Thanks for your help.

First welcome to the site. I order to give you correct information you need to provide you tilt, rotation, rev, and speed out of hand. All I can say with the limited info is if you have low tilt the pin was not put in a flare safe location for you release.

Is the ball hitting the holes as soon as you release it, or does it start thumping further down the lanes? If the former, it's a function of your release. If it's the latter, the track flare is going into the holes and that can be corrected with layout, but will probably require a plug/redrill to do so. Give us a picture of the flare tracks on the ball, that will help to troubleshoot the problem. -- JohnP

Sorry maybe I have sent you many private messages, its my first answer at the forum

And Thank you for your kind answer

My rev rate I guess it over 480 rpm and 180 mp/h, my release Its almost like Pete Weber with thumb at 12 O'clock .

I have left some images at the top of the post.

Did you mean 18 mph? 180 is pretty fast.

If your PAP is correct you are rolling the ball with about -13* of tilt.
See attachment. The initial track is shown as -13*. You can also see that the Pin to PAP you list as 5 1/4" puts the pin below the middle finger. There are some dependencies here.

I suggest you verify your PAP and get accurate release specs.

Check out this link to help you gather that information. Tilt, Rotation Speed and Revs.

Centerline and midline are definitely not right in that picture.
Centerline bisects the grip not just the fingers.
The midline isnt 90* to the centerline how it should be.

The pin is definitely out of the flare safe zone, a discussion from another source is below. -- JohnP
Low pin position
A pin located towards the midline (horizontal line midway between thumb and fingerholes - used to locate PAP), or even lower, will make the ball change direction earlier. It is also important to note that if the pin is placed too low, the ball might flare or track over the middle finger. There is something called "the safe zone" which is located above an imaginary line from the PAP to the middle finger. If the pin is placed below this line, there is the danger of the flare hitting the middle finger. If the pin is above this line, the ball is "safe" from this result. Generally, this is only a problem for higher-track players and for high flare potential bowling balls.

Only “trick” is to change your release. But I’d plug and redrill.

Yes.
This inverted high track usually happens when the fingers go across the top of the ball "outside in" at release.
Definitely NOT "Weber-like".
