huge room for error? that goes back to what I always say, "When you line up right or 'find something', you look like a genius". I'm lined up right for this shot. I found that margin.

I know it seems like I'm running, but, my timing is always close or right-on with a faster approach. I make a lot more errors with shorter/slower approach. as for speed, I don't feel like I'm using any effort at all. I am relaxed and hold the ball with just enough effort to hold on to it. my quicker approach is more natural. I just start and I don't have to think about cadence or anything. like a signature I just do it automatically.

I tape my thumb so that it releases off my hand without me having to think about it. usually I like a snug thumb fit with this style.

I can vary loft by spotting my trajectory line before the arrows and/or using less tape depending. I can also vary my slide to end 4 - 12 inches behind the foul line if I need to.

I'm not saying I have the game of games, but, when I start getting results I'm getting (not just THSs and the same house). I must be doing something right or better. refine it? sure! would love to! I have a silver coach, tony warren, just started working with me. he coaches and drills for University of Florida. looking forward to his input.

I'm eager to be "refined", but, since August, I have six 300s in tournaments mostly and one in league. different houses, different balls. one on a sport shot (pointed in from 5bd). I almost had one two weeks ago. should have been my 14th. that will happen very soon.

Just to compare, before I sped up, I had one 300 in 2016.

I will let you know what tony has me work on. he first noticed me when I was high qualifier in a tournament he bowled in

I was meaning oil pattern it is still hard to me believe how much easier THS patterns is used on US.

Anyway, you are right that you still need to find and be able to use that room of error.

Yep. And if you want more detailed advises take better videos from behind and side and post them to certified coach section.

agree. when I get a new phone. or video camera.

this site has helped me incredibly with its awesome personnel, members and storehouse of knowledge.

to add:
it is harder to post bowling this way, but, the accuracy is still not sacrificed. what is sacrificed on some shots is posting, which I'm willing to sacrifice for better results from the increase in overall hitting power.

I now find 5 boards (sometime more) once I warm up and line up on shots many more times than I used to find.

what still blows my mind are some shots where a 17+mph , 16lb ball can leave a pin that should have got powered out, but, thats the nature of the game and the challenge.

on the other hand, if I do pull a shot (due to bad focus) sometimes up to 4 boards and think "oh crap" but it still jams the hole has saved me more than once. this is what got me thinking about how the orientation of the core can maybe even help create more area. different subject...

finding area even on some sport shots is the reason for my better results. plus I find myself making smaller moves than others on the transition. these are desirable things.

not all the answers, but, more than I had before.

don't give me 5 boards, I will take advantage of it.
