Based on my experience with my True Motion with Axis Weight layout and the positives and negatives of that layout on that ball, my PSO, knowing my bowling style very well, recommended I get another True Motion and drill this one up as strong as possible.
He felt that it would likely be a perfect match for me.
The Axis Weight is basically taking the core out of play and taking all the shape out of the True Motion.
He recommended putting a Leverage Layout with pin at 3 3/8" on the new True Motion so I could get some flare and shape.

So we got the ball and drilled it up and here is what it looks like:
Nord's True Motion Leverage Layout.jpg
The final statics on the ball actually came out very balanced:
Total Weight: 14 lb 1 1/2 oz
Negative Side: 1/8 oz
Thumb: 1/4 oz
Top: 1/8 oz

Tonight was supposed to be league at Surf Bowl, but at the last minute Surf emailed me to tell me they had to do a bye for our league this week.
Some Mother/Son thing took all the lanes.
But they put an extra week of money into our prize fund on the house to make it up to us.
So 6 of us decided to go instead to AMF Eagle lanes today to do our scratch tournament competition.
There was an all day party there taking up the whole house, but after it was over we got in on a pair.

We figured massive carry down from plastic balls and likely no hook would be the case.
The other players were using reactive balls and that is just what was happening, their balls were going too long and not hooking in the back.
Then I got up with the new True Motion with Leverage drill.

OMG, OMG...

Hook monster!

I could not get it up the lane!
I moved as far left as right foot on 22 rolling over third arrow and it was still hard to keep it on the pocket side.
If I moved right a bit and pushed it over second arrow out to 7 then the ball died immediately.
There was definitely oil on these lanes but just not enough for this ball.
No one using reactive was getting any hook at all, their balls just went straight.
But not so with me.
It was amazing actually.
The reaction was the earliest and strongest reaction I have ever seen on a ball I have ever used.
Even the Widow Urethane was not this early.
Also the flare lines I was getting on the True Motion were incredible.
Me, a low rev bowler, was getting 13 flare lines!
Don't believe me? Count them on the photo below.
This ball simply could not, not roll.
I am amazed.
This ball is so super strong it is hard to believe it is the same ball design as my True Motion with Axis drill.
I will use it Monday in league at Parkway and hopefully the normal house shot there will allow this ball to get up the lane.
At AMF I just had to go Brooklyn on everything since that is the only shot I had.

Wow. Just wow.

You might need to change the surface a bit if it's still OOB.

I just couldn't believe this ball was that strong and got that much flare.
I simply could't conceive that the Axis drill could tame a ball that much.
The True Motion was a beast in a cage and now it is released!

I will bring the Axis drill version too on Monday league for 10 pin spares and in case the lane is fried, or, I can't keep the "Beast Motion" from running across the lane.

As bowl1820 said, you can keep the ball from going across the lane with a change in surface. Buy a 1000, a 2000, a 3000 and a 4000 abralon or siaair pads and experiment. The higher you go in grit the longer the ball will go.

I don't want to change anything until I get a chance to try it tonight at Parkway at the normal house I bowl at with their normal house shot.
If it is still a monster there, then I will try bringing the grit up.
It may have just been a totally trashed front lane at AMF that was making the True Motion read so early.

Well, tried the new True Motion Leverage at Parkway tonight.
It was no tap sweeps.
I got there early and tried a practice game on the pair just to the right of the pair I would be bowling on tonight.
I stood right foot on 13 and rolled right up second arrow.
Time and again the ball would go right up and then roll hard left and crush the pocket.
Below is my first practice game with the True Motion:
First Game with True Motion.JPG
Then I moved left to start league on our competition pair.
We get only 5 min of practice to get lined up so maybe I get 4 shots max.
I did not make good shots in practice so I really learned nothing.
So as play started I kept foot and target the same as I just had on the practice lane.
Ball would not roll up, it was skidding too far.
Too much oil now.
Started moving my target right a board at a time.
9 board, still too much oil.
8 board, still too much oil.
7 board, split.
Tried 7 again, another split.
Moved foot left, kept target the same.
Split.
Moved foot left again, washout.
Moved foot further right and brought target inside, still would not roll up.
And on the hunting went for two no tap games of 166 and 160.
Sad.
I was so hopeful for the True Motion Leverage.
Why could it crush the pins on the pair to the right, but was an over/under hell ball on my pair?
I was very depressed.
Meanwhile my partner with his Code Red had games of 250 and 300.
With head hung low I put the True Motion Leverage away, pulled out my True Motion with Axis drill, moved my target to 7 and my feet to 12 and gave it a try.
The ball rolled in beautifully again and again crushing the pocket hard.
It was night and day, such a perfect motion.
Closed with a 265 clean no tap game.
Had 5 normal strikes and 4 no tap strikes.
I guess I am just a stupid, stupid, stupid bowler.
I just can't realize when to put a ball back in the bag immediately.
I really, really wanted to use the True Motion Leverage and it was so powerful on the practice pair, but the competition pair hated the ball.
Well, I guess lesson learned...

Actually I am not sure what the lesson was...

Well sounds like your just going to have to dial in your surface on the new T.M., for the condition you want the ball for and where you want to play on the lane.

The True Motion Leverage (TML) had the classic under/over urethane reaction on house shots.
Too weak to play on, or inside of second arrow, too strong to play right of second arrow.
Basically no shot on the lane.

The True Motion Axis (TMA) allowed me to get right of second arrow and out of the pattern and it would sweep in gradually with perfect control and power.

Both balls were at 1000 grit.
The only difference was the layouts.

I stood right foot on 13 and rolled right up second arrow.
Two good reasons to mark your starting position with your left (slide) foot:

1. You can compare your starting position with your ending position at the foul line.
2. The vast majority of bowlers mark with their slide foot, so it makes it easier to compare what they're doing to what you're doing. -- JohnP

I use to use my left foot, but was told the right foot is better because it allows you to measure your offset better when judging a line up the boards.
You stand on a board, hold the ball down at your side and set it straight down.
How many boards to the right is it?
That is your board offset from your starting position.
But for myself, I do walk straight as you can see in the videos, I do not drift, so I land on the same spot usually with only minor variation.
Also I do not slide, I am a planter.
