Basically any middle of the road ball at any company. They are all good choices.

Storm has for example a hyroad, iq tour or torrent
rotogrip has a wreck it, daredevil trick or even the hustle ink
motiv has a venom shock that is supposed to be really good and you can find on closeouts these days and some others but not familiar with their lineup
radical probably has the cyclops and zeno to fit that bill or a fix which you can drill any way you want.
brunswick and dv8 have some stuff in that similiar range as well but others would be better suited to advice them.
Then you also have visionarybowling.com I'm not familiar with them except for their urethane ball which is really good.

Ebonite Game Breaker 2 MVP, you can get this one for around $90. It is a strong and predictable hybrid symmetrical ball for medium oil, great reviews on Bowling This Month.

my medium oil ball is a track paradox tx3 (its an international paradox pearl that skids more than the purple paradox). i can usually go to that if everything else is hooking too much. although it is asymmetric

Exactly. I like a benchmark (or control type) layout on a ball with medium cover, core and a little surface. Useful on a wide range of conditions and points you in the right direction if you need something stronger or weaker.

I love both the IQ Tour and Radical Primo. Don't leave home without it!

The Storm rocketship has been good for me. Same cover as the IQ tour just with a higher RG and diff core in it. Takes surface adjustment easily just like the IQ tour. Difference is the rocketship can be found cheap now since it's been discontinued.
