Layout for Ball on Reverse Blocks
I have been looking to add one new ball to my sport arsenal for the sole purpose of shooting on a reverse block that only happens about 5 times a year at a house in my bay area ABT. all other houses put out sport shots. I have narrowed down my selection to a widow spare, track spare + or a columbia scout r. Any advice on which ball to choose and a layout would be greatly appreciated. The shot is heavy oil from 8 to the gutter on both sides and about 35 feet of light oil in the middle.

No matter what you are trying to do remember simplicity gives better results than over complicating things.

Re: Layout for Ball on Reverse Blocks
I would utilize a Strong ball with a Sport layout for short oil and play outside in the Heavy oil.
On something like the Storm Lock ..... 30-5.5-70
If you are set on trying to use Asymmetrical Plastic I would use your Benchmark layout 35-4.5-50.
The Scout-R ...... PBA Plastic ball drilling.

I made a reply to your other thread, Have you purchased the Mako?
It is not Asymmetrical at 13# I emailed the company and asked, it is Symmetrical.

Re: Layout for Ball on Reverse Blocks
Thanks for the info I'm going to go with the widow spare and use my benchmark layout. I replied about the Mako in the other thread. Short answer my PSO has the ball I ordered and I'm going to see him tomorrow. Is there a layout for the mako that would work on longer oil sport patterns with a symmetrical core? Thanks in advance for all your help.EricHartwell wrote:I would utilize a Strong ball with a Sport layout for short oil and play outside in the Heavy oil.

I brought this thread together with your previous thread for layouts. I hope you don't mind.
