Stopping the deceleration on my swing *ADDED SIDEVIEW

Hey Guys! I'm new to these forums and I enjoy all the posts i've read over the past few years, so I decided to chime in and possibly get some help. I've been bowling for 10 years and have had hip surgery and suffer from a weak wrist (used to muscle my entire swing and used all curl for revs). I've always had a release that's helped me in the long run and got lucky on that! I just need help right now with my swing being decelerated and I feel very "upright" on my finish point. I want my power back and to stop feeling stiff at the finish. I don't have any of the old tendencies from before my right hip surgery as I had to retrain myself to bowl and being a power player it wasn't fun, especially eliminating all muscle. I also have a couple issues clearing my ball but I can't keep changing pitches and the ball fits fine.

It's all in my timing! Please help! Here is a YouTube video of me recently. I have lost a little bit of comfort at the line, this was recent and I'm trying to fix it.

EDIT:

Hey Guys, thank you for the replies! I've had grip pressure issues for a while and I am still tackling them. Here is a side view video from a month ago, I don't think I was this bad as of now. But, it still gives you guys a generalized idea of where I'm coming from and many of things you see are till happening. My wrist does some funky turns and I do have issues opening up the hand at the top of the swing (Like Tommy Jones, Weber, etc). I used to be able to do it, but now my wrist does multiple turns in my pushoff and backswing.

Proper video analysis requires one full side view from the ball side and one full back view from behind . Try to keep the video from the back in line with your intended strike line.

Never seen anyone with a weak wrist sliding on 33, rolling over 19 at the arrows out to 5 hitting flush. You do have a little loft. Maybe if you rolled the ball as if you had a weak wrist and soften up you grip pressure and allow the ball to land a couple of inches past the foul line instead of 3 ft. past the line. This might make you FEEL more relaxed at the line. This will also help with your clearing issues.

Ditto. In the final analysis, what matters are being able to consistently achieve good results.
Spigner's analysis in this month's Bowler's Journal accentuates that premise.
He's analysing an elite planter doing things most planters do not do.
Your not a planter, that was just a precursor to a disclaimer about cookie cutter methods.
Mark Baker's video is an excellent example of how many ways there are to be successful.
Granted, there are guidelines, but they are not all immutable laws.

One thing I see that you might consider is your trailing foot and leg action.
I'd always advise changes be practiced first without a ball and divide and conquer approach, just my opinion.

Nit picking, and this is only my opinion and as I say results matter.
Good test would be bowling on challenging conditions where margin of error is slim.
Throw 12 like that and you'll do fine ;)

Look at Doug Kent's posture

Kelly Kulick

A lot of good stuff here, number 4 shows the back leg position

I've always been a proponent of watching elite women bowler's. The reason being that I believe they tend to be more efficient and rely less on ego.

Create that video for a better view.
Looks like your hand might me on the outside of the ball early

Consider taking video of yourself with some degree of frequency.
Keep a library of you.
That video set can ward off slumps, or bust them.

Cheerio!

Another thought, keying on your word deceleration.

Watch this, listen to RG analogy, look at Chris Barnes opposite arm, around 2:50 into video
Interesting points ...

Thanks for the side video. You can see the deceleration as your interring your side. it looks like you have a early drop into your swing and then you try to catch up with your feet. Your footwork is not getting ahead of the ball so as you go into your slide something has to give. You have 2 choices you can either speed up your slide (don't know how to do that !) or slow down the swing. You decided to slow down the swing (good choice).

As you can see in the pic below as your finished your 2nd step your swing has dropped to just above the knee. You can see the red marking where if the ball was dropped into the swing 1/2 step later where the ball would be. This would allow you to get ahead of the ball and accelerate into the release not decelerate.
